Chance was born in Calgary, Alberta Canada. He grew up moving around southern Alberta and spending a much time as he could in the family ranch. Chance wanted to be in the military since he was a small boy. He signed up with the Canadian Armed Forces in 2005, served for 8 years as a Combat Engineer, and retired as a Master Corporal in 2013. He served with 1 Combat Engineer Regiment in Edmonton, Alberta for 6 years including an 8-month tour of Afghanistan in 2008. He spent the last year and a half of his service at 4 Canadian Division Training Center in Meaford, Ontario as a Recruit Instructor.
Chance has been a veterans advocate for many years and is a co founder of the Walk For Veterans. He hosts two podcast, one “Tools for the Toolbox” is a one in one conversation about the tools we use everyday to manage life's challenges and two "The Collective" is a panel discussion with people from all walks of life on how to be better everyday.
