A 21 year, second-generation Firefighter working for Brampton Fire and Emergency Services Ontario, Canada, with around 400 suppression personnel,13 stations, and 18 apparatus. I spent the first half of my career at our Technical Rescue station, and six of those years working as a part-time primary care paramedic. I've had the privilege to teach within my department as an EMR and Live Fire Instructor and spent 3 years as a Training Officer. I've also had the honour and pleasure of working as a Peer Support Team member since 2007, as a co-lead since 2009 and as the administrator of the BFES PST Facebook page since 2014. I participated in the FireFit/Combat Challenge for the first 4 years of my career, and in 2000 climbed the CN Tower stairs with the Brampton team, on-air and in full PPE in 21 minutes. I took part in a one-year Firefighter Exchange Program in Wellington, New Zealand in 2005. I regularly present on the topic of Mental Health and teach The Working Mind program, within and outside of my department. I have been hosting the Multiple Calls Podcast since February 2018.
