Nikki Selby is a Navy veteran serving as a corpsman, search and rescue member, rescue swimmer and nurse. We discuss her journey into the military, emergency medicine, lessons learned from the battlefield, responding to New York during the pandemic, the Tactical Games, transitioning out and much more.

Critical Care, Trauma and Enroute Care Nurse for US Navy. Deployed to various regions to include Haiti, Afghanistan and various countries in the Middle East as an in-flight critical care nurse, ICU, trauma and Fleet Surgical Team nurse operating in austere conditions (Role II and Role III facilities). I am currently a Course Coordinator for the Advanced Trauma Course for Nurses and a Training Site Facilitator for ACLS, and teach classes to all military and civilian providers for the Naval Medical Center San Diego.

My current certifications are BLS-I, ACLS-I/TSF, ATCN Instructor and Course Coordinator, PALS-P, TCCC-P and TNCC-P. I retired from the Navy after 23 years, and have 13 years of experience as an RN. I am certified in Emergency Nursing (CEN) and currently licensed in the states of Nevada and California.
