Aubrey Lehman is a firefighter/EMT in Pennsylvania. She is currently the only Interior qualified deaf female firefighter/EMT in the Mid-Atlantic region.

It was no easy feat. Being born 3 months premature in the Dominican Republic and growing up in a world of silence until the introduction of the Cochlear Implant technology in the early 90s. With years of speech therapy combined with her determination and drive to become a firefighter/EMT regardless of the abusive favoritism she defied all odds and still remained a kind soul to this day. She's a proud mom to two wonderful children.

She talks about what effect suicides have on children and surviving an over dose attempt.

She also touches on the hardships she had to endure in the fire/ems field of constantly having to always prove herself even after starting over again.
