Dan was born in Philadelphia to John and Anne Pritchard. Dan is the younger brother of Jason and Jessy, who he grew up imitating in his siblings in every way he could. Growing up, Dan loved to play baseball and football with his older brother Jason. Dan loved to do art with his sister Jessy. Dan went to La Salle College High School and was the co-captain of the lacrosse team. After graduating from LSCHS, Dan went to Arizona State University and majored in Sociology.
While living in Arizona Dan was introduced to Pat Tillman through a mutual friend. After Pat was killed in Afghanistan on 22 April, 2004, Dan felt the need to follow in Pat’s path and he joined the United States Army. Dan spent 14 years in the Special Operations community and eventually transitioned out of active duty to pursue his MBA at The University of South Carolina.
